Please Support Us

As a registered charity, our Group is committed to raising and spending the finance needed to help achieve its aims. Whether that is by writing and publishing educational material, organising conferences or meetings to enhance a wider understanding of the wartime Polish immigration to Scotland, participating in remembrance services and events, giving voice to the memories of those who served the cause of freedom, supporting researchers, restoring monuments and memorials, or by promoting the ideals of democratic freedom, the Group’s work needs funding.

All of the Group’s members pay annual dues to show their support for our work. Several of them make donations over and above the membership fees or by volunteering their time and effort to uncover the Scottish realities of those we honour.

However, the harsh reality of what we are trying to achieve is that more funding support is essential. An estimate of the funding required, excluding any expenditure on volunteer work or maintaining the “Living Memorial” of our website, puts the Group’s needs at £25,000 to £30,000. Already (by February 2022), however, fundraising work and third-party and members’ donations have raised some £13,000. We need the help of anyone and all who visit this site. If you can offer us support, please contact us. We are happy to answer any questions about our work and discuss how you can help. Thank you.
